Individuals
o Adopt-A-Senior for a week for $47.45; a month for $189.80; or a year for $2,372.50. All donations are specifically directed for meals and tax deductible to the full extent allowable by law.
o Join our family of volunteers. Every volunteer hour provides another three meals for seniors.
o Search the Internet with GoodSearch, a new search engine that donates about a penny per search. Just go to www.goodsearch.com and be sure to enter Lanakila Pacific as the charity you want to support. Just 500 of us searching four times a day will raise about $7,300 in a year without anyone spending a dime!
o Write a letter to the editor urging increased support for senior meal programs
o Call your legislator and urge them to increase support for senior services.
o Call our Congressional delegation and urge them to support increased funding for the Older Americans Act.
o Consider a planned gift or bequest–a charitable legacy through a will provision.
o Make a gift to Lanakila Meals on Wheels in tribute to a special someone or in memoriam. Gifts in tribute of a loved one are acknowledged with a personal message sent via regular mail or email to let the person know about your donation.

Companies and Groups
o Volunteer as a group and take turns delivering meals to seniors.
o Order catering from Xpress Chefs. They deliver nutritious and delicious meals, perfect for business meetings, corporate events and parties. All proceeds fund Lanakila Meals on Wheels. Call 533-3054 or visit www.xpresschefs.com.
o Encourage participants to “brown-bag” their lunch once a week (or have a pizza party, etc.) and donate their lunch allowance for the day(s) to Lanakila Meals on Wheels. These lunches are a great way to enhance camaraderie among employees while helping Hawaii’s seniors eat lunch as well.
o Adopt-A-Neighborhood – Lanakila Meals on Wheels is the only meal provider serving seniors island-wide. The average cost to provide home delivered meals per neighborhood is $3,623. Companies receive public recognition including the naming of the service on every meal container in the specific neighborhood, and more.
o Have-A-Heart Campaign - Customize a program for your employees to work together to help their elderly neighbors. Adopt Lanakila Meals on Wheels as a special charity for employee donations, provide matching contributions, payroll deduction services, or make a donation for a designated “dress-down” day, holding a fundraising auction or golf outing.
o Sponsor an Event – Lanakila Meals on Wheels hosts several fundraising events each year attracting business leaders and celebrities. Theses events are excellent venues for corporate entertaining. An event sponsorship will add value to your brand with strong visibility on invitations, event journals, advertising and more.
o Round-Up Program – Round-Up is a way for supermarkets, restaurants, retailers and their customers to raise money for Hawaii’s frail seniors. Customers can “round up” their transaction $1, $3, $5 or more to support Lanakila Meals on Wheels and more!. This easily implemented promotion links your company with our high profile cause.
o Public Service Announcements – Take advantage of Lanakila Meals on Wheels’ charity advertising rates in publications like the Honolulu Advertiser and Star Bulletin by designing and underwriting public service announcements and/or donor acknowledgments from your industry.
