Mahalo for Fishing for Meals!

A very warm mahalo from all of us at Lanakila Kitchen & Lanakila Meals on Wheels for your support of our 2010 Papio Fishing Tournament, presented by D.R.Horton, Schuler Division and Stanford Carr Development.

With the help of 33 sponsors and boat entries, a tremendous event chair and committee, and more than 50 adventurous fishermen and women, The Papio Tournament netted more than $25,000 for Lanakila Meals on Wheels, O’ahu’s only island-wide non-profit meal delivery service for the elderly.

In addition to the event contributions, the awareness created raised additional support for the programs, with thoughtful coverage from media supporters including HawaiiNewsNow, KITV4 and Hanapa'aFishing.com and Star-Advertiser.

More than 20 boats joined in the action, launching from Heeia Pier in Kaneohe Bay.
